Getting some awards

It is with great gratitude that I accept two awards from my dear friend Tersia.

The awards are:

Best Moment Award

 

and the WordPress Family Award

 

Tersia and I have two very unfortunate things in common. Our children had osteogenesis imperfecta (two different forms), and both our children passed away from the disease. Her daughter, Vic, only passed away recently. The wound is still raw, fresh. My Henry passed away in September, never having taken a breath. It still hurts. it will never stop hurting.

Tersia and her beloved Vic, who lived a beautiful but painful life.

Tersia has been a constant light and support for me, and I’m honoured and touched to have been nominated for these awards for being a support to her.

I’m not going to do the whole traditional “follow the rules” WordPress award recipient thing – sorry! I’m supposed to nominate other blogs, write a while bunch of stuff – generally rather nice, but I’m not going to follow the rules because I just really want to talk about Tersia!

So, thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear Tersia! I am so sorry to have such devastating things in common with you, but I’m glad we don’t have to walk this road alone.
